Dew It

So, Jake spent last week doing "work" at the Dew Tour. That shit gets crazier and crazier every year. Here are a couple shots he snapped of Mirra and Guettler. What's going on in that Mirra pic? Is that an inverted lookback? I have never seen one of those before.

The Mustache Ride

Brandon Turman just hit me up about a post Crankworx dirt jump jam out at the Sunset trails in Denver. I don't think I'll be able to make it out there, but I'm sure it will be a blast. I used to ride at Sunset years ago. I think it has changed a lot since then, but I have seen some recent pics and it looks like they have the place dialed. Here's the press release:

The Mustache Ride at Sunset

Sunday, August 2, 2009

This year's post Crankworx Colorado jump jam will be held at the Sunset dirt jumps, the day after the big slopestyle event. We're busting out a theme this time around - so guys, start growing those mustaches and girls, pull out the mini skirts.

Thanks to our generous sponsors we'll have refreshments, the grill will be cranking out burgers and brats, and the best mustaches/outfits will earn some awesome goods.

Come out for a low key afternoon, boost some doubles, enjoy Colorado's newest jump lines, and shred with some of the best slopestyle and dirt jump athletes in the world!

After party at Hooters . . . 'nuff said.

Day At The Trails

Spent a long day at the trails today. That's local shredder Mike with the clicked brakeless turndowns over the last set... which is now completed dialed and big enough to fit a whole gaggle of groms in the middle. Get some.

90's

I had never heard of Giant Panda before, but they're from LA and this song rules. It pretty much sums up my love for early 90's hip hop. Love the Tribe influence/semi-cover.

Steez Of The Week

Haven't done a SOTW in awhile, so here's some radtacularness.

Jake's Point Of View

Jake got some quality shots while he was out at Koala the other day. It's fun to table over the hip, so that's what I do. The trails are getting better and better every week. The new last jump is about a 20 foot gap and steep... soooo much fun.

On an unrelated note, I went to Skeleton today for the first time in over a month. It's the longest I've been away from there in the past few years. It's holding up pretty well during the summer drought without much maintenance. I was definitely a little nervous dropping in since I hadn't been there in so long. Now I see how intimidating that place can be for people who have never ridden there or haven't ridden there in a long time. Once you get it down, though, it flows like no other. So fast and boosty.

Grom Power

The local groms have been hanging around the trails and helping me dig lately. Up until now, they've been pretty intimidated by the bigger jumps. Austin finally got up the courage and had the trails down after a few runs. It's rad to see a kid so stoked on something. And blue tires rule.

Koala Can

Sorry for the slowness around here lately. We've been doing lots of digging, but not much picture taking. Here's one that Tater snapped of me awhile back in the infancy of the Koala trails.
