One last trail jam... maybe

Since nobody really knows when exactly these are scheduled to be plowed, the dudes decided to throw what may be the last trail jam at this spot over the weekend. Somehow, in the last two months, Eliot learned how to boost.... really, really high (and without a chain). Andrew and Brett were stylin' like usual. I was breaking in my new Giant Method 24. It's a fun bike. I think 24s might be the perfect wheel size for trails.

Plowing Sucks

I was recently told that one of the biggest and coolest jump spots in cal just got plowed. National City, near San Diego, was a mecca of dirt jumps that I hear was completely dialed not too long ago. I guess a rare bird they found in the area was the reason it got plowed. I also heard that Sage and Strait's new spot they were working on went under. Another one of our local spots is scheduled to go down soon. It just sucks. Plowing sucks. Let us ride our bikes when we aren't harming anyone else. On the plus side, maybe we can treat it like grey hairs... when one gets plucked, five more sprout up.

MTBer

Uh oh... it's on now. I finally got a real mtb. I'm about to win a world cup or three.

Steez Of The Week

Jake is still processing a bunch of pics from Heath's jam, but he sent me a teaser. This is about as nasty as you can get.

Edit: Thanks to anonymous in the comments. We now know the rider is Mark Kehl.

Ride Life

So, I started work at a new job with Giant last week. It's always been a dream of mine to work in the bike industry, and now here I am. The job is sweet so far. The place is filled with cool, fun people who just love to ride bikes. There's also a bike park in the office... how rad is that?

That's part of the reason I've been terrible with updates here on LD. I was busy looking for a new place to live and then actually moved in this past weekend. I ended up in a pretty cool spot in Ventura... I can see the ocean from my balcony.

I promise this place won't turn into STPs only and spandex. We should actually have some really good updates soon. Jake went out to Heath Pinter's jam over the weekend and will have some sick shots from that. I heard Hucker double flipped the step-up... crazy kid.

More Me

I'm sure you guys get tired of seeing pictures of me, especially since I don't do anything cool. But, hopefully it's better than nothing. Sorry for the slowness around here lately. I have had a lot going on, but things should settle down soon and we'll be able to bring you some more shreddage from all over SoCal.
