Team Hard Hard

Team Hard Hard 4life.

Charizma & Peanut Butter Wolf

If you're into good hip hop at all, I highly recommend Charizma & Peanut Butter Wolf's "Big Shots" LP. I actually hadn't heard it until recently. They are a mid-school group from Cali that recorded a bunch of material in the early 90s. However, they never released a full album due to Charizma being killed. Their "Big Shots" LP was finally released in 2003.

Gnarly

These trails are the gnarliest trails in California... and Jake Kinney owns them. Coming down off of this jump you head into a 180 degree, downhill, over-vert berm that leads straight into a 35 foot step-up. Posers need not apply.

Rain

So, we have got a ton of rain here in so cal the past few weeks. Usually we're praying for rain to help out the trails, but at this point, it's like enough!! We want to ride. There was some slight damage to a few of the jumps out at skel, but nothing like last year when a whole line was washed away. Supposed to be some more rain this weekend... let's hope it's not a lot.

For some reason, I really like that picture above. Here's another of me actually jumping that jump.

Atomlab Wheels

Mike Flaherty from Atomlab sent me an email about the new custom wheel section on their website. I don't normally do press releases like this, but Mike has always been good to me, so what the heck. I've been running Atomlab Aircorp hubs for years and they have held up great... plus I love the sound of them.

Not everyone knows that Mike is an old school ripper. Check the style on the pic below. Love the slip-on Vans.

Here's the press release:

CUSTOM WHEELS -
Atomlab has a new 'custom wheel' section on their website where you can order custom Pimp and Pimplite 26" wheels. Atomlab rims are well know for their strength, but many people surprised to find that Atomlab wheels are some of the lightest gravity/dirt jump wheels on the market. What makes these custom wheels special aside from the world renown strength of Atomlab's rims is the colors.

Rims are available in black, red, green, or white with your choice of black, red, or silver nipples. You can also choose from red, black, or white Pimp triple-butted spokes. This year Atomlab is offering Pimplite rainbow colored titanium spokes for the weight conscious pro. These wheels can be built up with a wide variety of Pimp and Aircorp hubs. It's the perfect place to build your dream wheelset. There is even a virtual wheel builder where you can see what your wheel will look like. All the wheels are hand built and shipped within a couple of days. Check it out in the webstore at www.atomlab.com.

Random

Eric uploaded this picture on facebook the other day and I thought it was rad. So, I'm sharing it. In other randomness, Mikey and I have been putting in a lot of shovel time this week after all the rain. Landings 2, 3, and 4 are all a good foot or two taller than they used to be... step-ups galore.

Taj at Ray's

Super duper photo ace and lover of all things bicycle, Jake Orness, took a trip out to Ray's last weekend for some shooting and some shredding. Rumor has it that Taj was killing it and he pulled off this crazy transfer from the spine launch up and over the rafters. Gnarly.

Black Market

Sorry for the slowness this week... been busy. We got some major rain today, should be great for the trails. Carter from Black Market made it out to Skeleton last weekend. He snapped a few shots and posted them up on his site. If you're not already hip to it, he puts some quality content up there on the regular. Hopefully we'll be able to make a trip out to his trails one of these days.
