Steez Of The Week

I don't know who this is, who the photographer is, or where I got this from. But, it's pretty sick.

Edit: I'm originally from Kansas, and that definitely looks like a wall cloud back there... there's no place like home, there's no place like home...

Taking Over The Internets

The local crew is all over the place on the web. Check out the video above from Vital BMX featuring Andrew, Brett, and Eliot at their trails. You might recognize the place from the photos that I've posted on here. And speaking of photos, Tater's shot of Joe Perrizo's nac flip got POD over on Pinkbike. Well deserved, I'd say.

Oh, and there have also been some sites mentioning LD lately. Ryan Denehy is now doing his thing over on Banquet. Check it out, there is lots of radness from the action sports world over there, including mtb and bmx stuff. Twoand8 bmx appreciated last week's "steez of the week." And I can't forget the other rad bloggers over at Tonic and Sasquatch Canyon. Keep up the good work, guys, and thanks for the love.

That's Cool

I was browsing through some of Jake's recent photos and the first thing that popped into my mind after seeing this one was "that's cool." I can't think of a better way to describe it.

Happy B-Day To Me

I'll use my birthday as an excuse to post a couple shots of me from back in the day. First one is probably 88-89ish, 2nd one probably 91-92ish. Man, I'm getting old.

50 Footer

Liquid Dirt - Woodward West
Sorry for the terrible picture quality, but this cell phone pic is the only evidence we have of our dude Ryan hitting the 50 footer at Woodward West. Freakin' huge.

Holla

Tater has a gallery up with some of the shots he got from the Thrashbike jam. I posted a few of them above, the rest you can see in the gallery right here.

Be sure to check out Thrashbike.com for more coverage and information on this event and other events like it from around the world.

Cranked Back

I haven't been to the lazymaker in awhile, but apparently I have been missing some radness. Jake got some shots of Andrew that are so good they could be We The People (Andrew's sponsor) ads. Crank that shit, son!

Showbiz & A.G.

I love the mid-nineties hip hop flavor. This is the Primo version of the song. Check this link for the original that I think is even better.

Isaac Wood

Isaac Wood sent me some shots he got from the Thrashbike Jam. In order of appearance, that's him up top, JD with the T-Bag, Brian Miller 3-whipping, and some dude who's name I don't know, but was killing it... he was even doing wall ride transfers up onto the side of the cliff and back into the line.

Boom Bike

This is pretty much the freshest bike (trike) ever. I don't remember exactly where this picture is from. I nabbed it off the internets awhile back.

Boost Mobile

Corey Bohan - Liquid Dirt
LD has been dominated by big wheels and Tater shots lately. So, I thought I'd switch it up with a gem from Jake. The guy in the sky is none other than maybe the best to ever do it... Corey Bohan. He was out with the crew at The Palms awhile back. Nobody on two wheels has a better combination of smooth style and big tricks than Bohan.

More Joe P

Baked Potato is still working on putting together a gallery with some more images from the jam. Here's another of Joe Perrizo that he sent me. We're also trying to get our lazy butts in gear to start working on some video stuff, so that could be fun.

The Magic Field

On our way down to San Diego, we made a quick stop in Kansas to ride the magic field. How is it magic you ask? Well... we were on our way from L.A. to San Diego... and we made a quick stop in Kansas. And just look at JJMF floating above the magic flowers. Trippy.

Chris Sorichetti

Here's a quality shot that tater took of San Diego local Chris Sorichetti. He was pro ripper of the day at the trail jam. Brakeless, too. Remember awhile back when I posted that we were down in SD and some dude was killing it on brakeless 2sixes? That was him.

By the way, one of Tater's shots got some love over on NSMB.

He Got Game

I can't believe it has been 10 years since this song and movie came out. Ray Allen is no longer a young Jesus Shuttlesworth, but a smooth , old school vet hopefully on his way to his first title.

Steez Of The Week

I've been wanting to post a pic of Billy Lewis for awhile now. If you check up on Tonic's blog, then you definitely know his steez. This is another pic taken by Teisuke Morimoto at the Holla For Your Dolla jam.

Speaking of the jam, Tater is still working through the hundreds of photos he got over the weekend, so we'll have some more imagery soon. I don't feel like writing an essay about it (and you probably don't feel like reading one), but here a few things that stood out to me at the jam...

• Mike Flaherty, Rick Nolte, and JD Swanguen rule. They did an amazing job in putting this thing together.

• Joe Perrizo throws down hard. From his hip flip/flair, to his nac flip, to his crazy dumped 3s, the kid is fearless.

• Brian Miller is a super ripper. He was landing 3 whips to pedals like I do X ups. I also saw him land a couple 7s at the park.

• John Jesme proved once again why we call him JJMF. With little to no warm-up, he was flipping and 3ing most every jump at the trails. In his last run, he 3'd 5 of the 6 jumps, but blew out his tire casing the last. Team Hard Hard for life.

• The Aptos boys shred and steez like no other. A-Rev, Ryan Howard, and Jim Tharp all ride bikes like they learned to ride before they learned to walk.

• Kyle Strait's Red Bull helmet gives him super powers like manual landers down step-down bowls on the trails.

• Lisa Myklak is rad. She was the only woman throwing down on the DJs.

• I missed it, but I heard Nina Buitrago slayed the park and street for the women.

• Local brakeless boy wonder, Chris Sorichetti, deserved the win in pro at the trails. He was throwing down a variety of huge tricks on every jump. He even flipped the last one, which nobody else even attempted.

TKC in SD

Tonic Fab distributor Teisuke took a ton of really good photos at the Holla For Your Dolla jam in San Diego this past weekend. Here are a few that caught my eye (yeah... I managed to sneak one of myself in there). Check out www.thrashbike.com for links to his flicker page and other links to more pics and vids from the jam.

Joe Perrizo

Joe is a fucking bad ass. If you don't know... well, now you know. The "Holla For Ya Dollar Jam" was definitely one of the raddest events that I have been a part of... stay tuned for some more sickness. Just to give you some perspective, Joe is coming straight at the camera, he's not going right to left like it may look at first glance. Nac flips rule.

Gnar Cal

Zach and the crew are up to their usual radness up in Gnar Cal. The trails are looking so sick.

Jettin'

I've never been to New York, but if I had to describe NYC with a song, it would be this song. That's Octavia Butler pictured on the vid, in case you're wondering. She was a very accomplished writer that passed away a few years ago.

Big Palm Tree

That's Isaac Wood up top with a table way flatter than mine. His buddy Joe was taking pics of that cool palm tree and we just happened to sneak into the frames. Palm trees at trails are rad.

One In A Million

I posted this song way back in the infancy of liquid dirt. But, it's so good, it deserves a repost. It's def one of my all time favorite songs. And it's really not that well known because it was on the Poetic Justice soundtrack rather than one of Pete and CL's full length albums. Soooo smooth.

Brian Miller

Mikey snapped this shot with his point and shoot while we were on our trip to Aptos awhile back. I just gave it a little black and white treatment. Brian Miller oozes the steez.

Born To Roll

Part of the reason this song is so dope is because it sounds so gangster, but it's really not. As Masta Ace puts it, it's "positivity hittin' 50 levels deep, comin' out the, comin' out the woofers in my jeep."

And I love this one. "I wonder if I blasted a little Elvis Presley, would they pull me over and attempt to arrest me?" Haha.

Classic Style

Oh snap, I think I figured it out. The pic is good quality at the smaller size, but click on it and it gets super sized. Feel free to use these photos, but please give the photographers credit if you're using them on other websites. This is another shot of A-Jack getting fresh, captured by Jake.

A-Rev

Here's some A-Rev sickness for you, because it's Friday, I ain't got no job, and I ain't got shit to do... or, wait, scratch all that. I'm experimenting with making the whole blog template wider so I can post bigger pics. It's either post the horizontal pics this wide and clear, or post them this wide and blurry, but then when you click on it, it will get bigger and sharper. That is, until I get smart enough to figure out how to do both. Let me know what you think or if you have suggestions on how to make this thing better.

San Diego

This little photo montage really sums up our trip to San Diego this past weekend... the trails were super rad, Eliot slayed them all like they were his local spot, James was curious about how hard the ground was (pretty hard), I was trying to live out my fantasies of being a moto superstar, some dude was killing it on brakeless 2sixes, Tater took some sweet pics, I dominated every game at Peter Piper Pizza (well, except air hockey, but James cheated), and then we went home. Good times.
